Visiting sports events, attractions or festivals can lead to poor choices, it explained – but this need not be the case.
The website published a number of suggestions from the TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) club, listing fruit and vegetables which can be of great benefit.
Strawberries are mentioned, as they are high in vitamin C and are good for heart function.
Watermelons are also in the rundown, as they can decrease the chances of developing problems with sight.
Red peppers and tomatoes – which could be tossed into a cool salad – are also included.
Trying a new fruit or vegetable could also be a useful tactic – keeping things interesting could make staying healthy fun.
Whichever you choose, it is important to make sure you consume at least five different ones per day – the eatwell website asserts a portion equates to around 80 grams.
