It’s summertime, so many of you office fruit fans are probably jetting off on holiday sometime soon.
Hopefully you’re not one of those people who finds it impossible to switch off while they’re away.
According to research from the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), two out of five managers return to work after a holiday feeling more stressed than when they went away.
This is because they have a tendency to continue working even though they are meant to be on holiday, with one in three of the 2,500 surveyed said they responded to emails or even work-related phone calls.
"Gone are the days when people cut off contact with work for a fortnight over the summer and made a complete break," said Penny de Valk, chief executive at the ILM.
"Uncertain economic times also mean that many UK employers are keeping one eye on their job at all times, when what they really need is time away from the office to rest and re-energise."
Great office fruits to eat at work if you want to wind down well after a stressful day at the office are cherries.
Cherries are rich in melatonin, which helps improve sleeping patterns, meaning the office fruit stops your mind racing about, dwelling on work-related matters, as much.
