A number of you probably head to the office fruit basket the morning after indulging in a few too many midweek drinks.
That’s the perfect time to go though, since some office fruits, like grapes, contain powerful antioxidants which are essential for detoxing after a heavy night.
New research from Loughborough University has revealed that one in ten footie-mad Brits will drink 20 cans and 20 pints of beer throughout the World Cup, which is a huge increase compared with the usual four consumed during an average month by Britons.
Ron Maughan, professor of sport and exercise nutrition at the university, said the occasional indulgence in something like beer or burgers will not be harmful but over the course of the football tournament a number of people will "consume an awful lot of unhealthy items".
"Instead of having beer with a burger, you can have a piece of fruit instead," he suggested.
If you’re struggling to maintain a healthy lifestyle you should try to eat plums from the office fruit delivery as they help you get the required intake of antioxidants.
