Staff in offices around the UK are being encouraged to swap their favourite sweet treats for a pieces of office fruit to raise money for Sport Relief.
As part of a nationwide fundraising effort, workers are being asked to get sponsored to swap chocolate and biscuits for a healthy orange or apple.
Alternatively they could donate the money they would usually spend on sugary snacks and give it to charity instead.
All money raised will go to Comic Relief to help transform the lives of poor and vulnerable people, both in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries.
Sainsbury’s has also offered its support to Sport Relief by offering a grant of £150 to a fundraising event in Thanet, Kent.
The supermarket presented Thanet council with the community grant to aid the Thanet Sport Relief Mile on Sunday March 21st at the Marlowe Academy athletics track.
