The office fruit basket is packed full of healthy snacks, which can increase your daily nutrient intake and reduce the risk of you catching the annoying cold making its way around your workplace.
And now research has highlighted that adopting a healthier diet could actually prevent you developing certain types of cancer.
Figures from the World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) show the UK now matches the US with the number of cancer cases that could be prevented by people changing to a more healthy diet.
Eating a diet rich in fruit and vegetables as well as exercising regularly and maintaining a healthy weight could prevent an estimated 80,000 cancer cases in the UK, according to the WCRF.
Despite having higher rates of obesity in the US, the country has a similar number of preventable cancer cases, showing that body fat is not the only indication of an unhealthy diet.
Tucking in to the office fruit delivery could have multiple health benefits for you, the latest of which is a reduced risk of developing a preventable form of so-called lifestyle cancer.
