Ideas for workplace fruit juices

Fruit at work can be great for your health, but popping some in a juicer is also a quick and tasty way to get five a day.

According to a recent article in the Mirror, certain items are very popular in juices and the newspaper highlighted some of their benefits.

In addition to providing lots of vitamin C, apples are good for fluid retention and constipation.

Carrots are useful for building an immune system because they help the body convert beta carotene into vitamin A.

Other ingredients such as ginger and fennel were also recommended by the Mirror. A little bit of these in a juice can transform a mediocre drink into a mouth-watering one.

However, one place that is unlikely to be adding bananas to its menu is Stoke Damerel Primary School, which has banned its pupils from bringing in the yellow fruit.

According to reports, one of the staff has a severe allergy.
