An office fruit basket could be a simple tactic to employ when ensuring you are sticking to a healthy diet, which a commentator has asserted can reduce the risk of heart problems.
Taking regular exercise and eating a balanced intake of food – which could include portions of fruit and vegetables – are key to making sure arteries are kept clear, according to the Press Republican website.
If people are "attentive" when making lifestyle choices, they are less likely to go for bad options and routines, the editorial column suggests.
"Eat right and exercise, and maybe you won’t be needing the services of the cardiac care unit," the site advises.
The government’s Eat Well website asserts that consuming adequate quantities of fruit and veg can help reduce the risk of chronic heart diseases and some strains of cancer.
It recommends people eat five portions of fruit and vegetables per day.
The site also explains that to maximise its nutritional value, fruit should be eaten when fresh – which could be achieved by a daily office fruit delivery.
