If you’re a fan of taking a snack from the office fruit delivery you will be adopting a healthier lifestyle, which could impact on how long you live.
A study has found that having an unhealthy lifestyle could increase the risk of dying so much that it was the equivalent to being 12 years older than your actual age.
If you have any combination of four different unhealthy lifestyle factors, such as poor diet, smoking, lack of exercise and excessive drinking, you are at risk of early death.
Researchers from the University of Oslo in Norway found that diets which are low in fruit and vegetable consumption are associated with a slightly elevated risk of cardiovascular disease, cancer and premature mortality.
Participants in the study were followed for around 20 years. Even if they had only one of the unhealthy lifestyle behaviours, they increased the likelihood of dying during that time by 85 per cent.
Tucking into fruit at work could well help you live longer, even if it’s just because the office fruit delivery provides you with a multitude of different vitamins and minerals to help you ward off various ailments.
