It is difficult for people to be sure that the foods they eat outside their own homes are healthy and nutritious, it has been asserted.
Sue Davies is chief policy advisor for Which? and explains there is a great deal of information on pre-packaged foods.
However, this is not always the case with fare purchased in other eateries.
"Once you are outside of the home then it is very difficult to know what salt sugar and fat levels you are getting in products that you order from restaurants, cafes or pubs," the consumer watchdog representative states.
Workplace fruit baskets could well provide people with a means of eating nutritious and delicious foods on a regular basis while out and about.
A recent report by Which? found those interested in eating more healthily find it easier to do so at home (88 per cent) than when dining out at an eatery (54 per cent).
