An office fruit delivery could help you make a sorbet for your lunch, which is a refreshing alternative to less healthy foods according to a newspaper article.
The cool treat is easy to prepare in a matter of minutes in a workplace kitchen, as long as there is an oven, blender and fridge available.
Aberdeen Press and Journal has suggests following Somerfield Magazine’s recipe for making a strawberry sorbet, which needs 400g of the fruit along with lemon juice, water and some sugar.
To begin, the citrus zest and sweet water should be cooked on a stove until the sugar has dissolved. Next the strawberries are added and the mixture is put in the fridge for around 90 minutes, after which it can be enjoyed.
"Sometimes it can be difficult to eat pudding after a large meal. A sorbet is a refreshing alternative to a heavy dessert," the site says.
According to the government’s 5 A Day campaign website, strawberries are a good source of fibre, vitamin C and vitamin B.
