The office fruit basket can often be a great source of banter in the workplace as you debate over the best office fruit in the delivery, and now it has become the subject of an elaborate April fool joke.
England footballer David Beckham has been convinced to coach the Australia football team by a fruit basket, the Sydney Morning Herald and ABC radio claimed.
The fruit box, which contained pineapples and bananas, was sent to the star after his recent injury, according to the news providers, who played the April fool’s joke on the Australian nation, news provider AFP reported.
Beckham realised he was "really appreciated by the Aussies" a source said, adding: "Our David likes simple but sincere gestures like that."
If, like Becks, you’re a fan of the bananas from the office fruit delivery, you should dig in next time you want to avoid a junk food craving, as the fruit helps control the body’s sugar levels.
