Office fruit baskets ‘good for celebrations’

Using an office fruit basket as the inspiration for gifts and celebrations is a potentially great idea.

Recently in US newspaper the Wethersfield Post it was noted that school pupils were selling fruit baskets to raise money for their band.

The publication said a basket including oranges and grapefruit was "perfect" for upcoming holidays.

With this in mind, consumers can carry on their fruit at work habits at home by creating hampers or bowls of favourite foods and giving them to friends for birthdays. Christmas-themed presents could also include a few mince pies.

The Middleton Guardian also mentioned the benefits of fruit this week when it reported on an increase in life expectancy in the Alkrington area.

Councillor Robin Parker said positive work in the community had helped to improve the health of residents.

"Simple things like the five-a-day fruit and veg and steady exercise can make a considerable amount of difference to life expectancy," he added.
