The Telegraph: Venture bears fruit as core consideration of keeping staff happy

The Daily Telegraph was impressed with our continued success over the last four months, and featured us in their “Gloombusters” section (which focuses on businesses that have managed to do well despite the tough economic environment).

Having fruit in the office is both “very motivational” and “cost effective”.

FPJ: Fruitful Office shows continued support for Eat in Colour campaign

Eat in Colour campaignAs Eat in Colour (EiC) embarks on the final year of its initial three-year strategy, FPJ asked some of the key supporters of the scheme for their views on progress to date, and the future of the campaign.

Daniel Ernst, Commercial Director at Fruitful Office, expressed our support for the campaign, highlighting the fact that people spend about one-third (or more!) of their lives in an office. So promoting a healthier workplace goes a long way in raising awareness and incentivising people to eat more fruit and vegetables.

In addition, they provide other assistance, such as advice on food handling, health & safety, budgeting, diet and nutrition.

Financial Times: The other City boys

FT Magazine articleThe FT Weekend Magazine decided to investigate how the countless service companies that depend on London’s financial health are doing. Fruitful Office was one of the companies interviewed. Despite lower demand from the banking sector, our business has been extremely resilient to recent financial turmoil. Our clients have been amazingly loyal because they understand that our product is a low-cost way of motivating staff.

Fruitful Office joins the Eat in Colour campaign

Fresh Produce Journal articleIn May 2008, Fruitful Office was selected by the Eat in Colour campaign to assist them in their “Bowl not Biscuit Challenge” aimed at companies who offer unhealthy snacks, such as biscuits, to their employees. Every year, there are 175 million sick days off work in the UK (CBI) – a significant proportion of these sick days is linked to the lack of fruit and vegetable intake on a regular basis. The objective of the campaign was to encourage companies to offer their employees bowls of fresh fruit as a healthier treat. We supplied several offices with regular fresh fruit for 6 weeks and the feedback was extremely positive from all companies.

Fruitful Office has also become a sponsor of the Eat in Colour campaign – we think this is a great campaign as it looks at practical ways of encouraging people to eat more fruit and vegetables.
