Pear focus: the “Ya Pear”

Dear All,

We are moving into winter and Asian pears have started flooding European markets all over. The pear that we are adding to our mix, for the next couple of weeks, is the Ya Pear or better known as the Chinese pear.

These pears are famous for their bright skin, pretty shape, juicy crispy pulp and rich vitamin & mineral content. It has an extraordinary taste as it has a fragrant, sweet and slightly acidic juice.

These pears are originally from the Hebei province of China and are harvested between the months of August and May. Their ellipse shape with milk yellow skin makes them a great addition to our mix this week.
